The explanation I've heard: many states count mail-in ballots as the last part of counting votes. Trump has stated that mail-in ballots are bad and shouldn't be used, while Biden has suggested people should use them. So Trump voters are less likely to use mail ballots, and Biden voters are more likely.
And if it's true that states count mail-in ballots as last, this would explain the weird-looking boost for Biden in the last few percent of votes.
Or it's just fraud.

And biden voters are more scared of the virus and lots of young people who probably wouldn’t have voted on Election Day got it in the mail and mailed it in. I could totally see dem ballots being 70% of them all.
