that...

... is rather useful to know.

if you were going to protest somewhere you know theyre going to throw a bunch of horses at you...

... i wonder what would happen if you painted that shit all around where you want to protest, and when the horses get skittish throw in firecrackers or rubber snakes or some shit... horses arent a fan of snakes and if theyre already freaking out that might just send them flying...

cop horses are a bit different but if youve ever been anywhere near racehorses before and after a race theyre actually pretty fucking terrifying at times them strappers are fucking brutal at times.

Probably wouldn't work. As other goats here have pointed out, the reason the horses are skittish here is because they have limited color vision, so the stripes look like holes or uncomfortable walking territory.

Police horse selection is extremely tight. It's harder for a horse to be selected than dogs in fact. Their training involves all kinds of things that spook horses, from mock protests to firecrackers (I mean, cops do have guns after all) to even having them walk on unusual surfaces (like marbles and shit) to acclimate them.

IIRC less than 10% of horses evaluated are selected, and less than 1% of that actually make it to active duty.
