It's almost as if wrestling and the stories and fights are for entertainment and not actually some MMA shit with weapons pulled on a regular basis. The people that watch it know it's fake, so is Law and Order, and just about any other TV show.

next youre going to tell me that the personalities and back stories of monster trucks is just part of the show and theyre all really driven by professional drivers

Way to many people believe Law and order are true stories. Sad. WWE is more real than that show, You can't fake hitting somebody with a steal chair.

Yes, yes you can.

How do you fake falling 20 feet off a cage or ladder? I haven't figured that out yet.

Its choreographed combat, its as real as most martial arts movies as most of them are frankly bullshit too, only this is done live (well not this lol i dont know what the fuck this is, talking about real fake wrastlin)
For the most part its to show whats possible, they can do a lot of incredible wrestling moves that likely would never be practicle in real combat, but its great fun to actually see them showcased. Its like swordfighting, there is a technique called the murderstroke where you hold the sword by the blade and drive the crossguard into your foes head. Its awkward to pull off but a legitimate combat technique.
