Jesus was born to die for our sins and knew his whole life that was his purpose. If God was to place his only son anywhere he chose in the world for this purpose, why wouldn't he be placed where he believed the most sinful society in the world was? Could it be that if he was placed anywhere else he may have never been crucified? Of course he was Jew. He didn't exactly have a choice in that matter.

That's just a belief I've always had about it.

I've always believed the jews were chosen as a bad example. If God can love them, he can love anyone.
