Except futures went down as a result of it. This is all fed printed money that will make worker productivity go down just like it did in the 1970s. Our condition will be permanently worse and we will blame the pandemic. Scandinavia goes on a 3 month holiday every year. This shouldn't have permanent ramifications but because of the Fed it will.
I was a waiter. If anyone needed relief it was me. I found a job. It wasn't hard. Just require landlords to offer 10% apr loans on any missed payments if they are in an effected industry. That would narrow our efforts to only the people who need it, do as little as possible to help them, but help them in the way that they need it. The downside is that the Fed doesn't get to hand free purchasing power to corporations (that we will have to slave away to get back). I'm all for corporations making money, when they earn it.
What the dems wanted to pass was worse, but it would have been great if the whole thing got locked up.
I don't need the money. I will survive.
