He was self serving and manipulative. He lied and cheated to get his post in the military. He threw his soldiers under the bus to save his ass when caught by the British. Once they won the war over a 3% tea tax they immediately imposed a 25% whiskey tax to pay their war then washington used the military to put down the rebellion against that whiskey tax. Fuck Washington and everyone one of them until Andrew Jackson.

I was always wondering why he was the one Founding Father I can think of that had no real accomplishments I was aware of.
Brilliant military command, I assumed. But Nope. I loved studying military tactics in American history when I was a kid. The War of Northern Aggression aka American Civil War featured many of the greatest military leaders in history, many brilliant battles. The Revolutionary War? Not so much. When I watched that video by Molyneux, it finally put all the pieces together. Washington is America's Founding Myth.
