Either that or a dad that works all the time. This is one I worry about...... we are forced as parents to spend 40+ hours in an office. Commute times, cooking, cleaning, dishes, laundry, groceries, mow the lawn. And yeah - "those are the jobs of the wife," except she's also forced to work because everything is too goddamn expensive, and unless you want to work until you're 90, families need dual incomes.
So - 60+hours each week doing chores and working.... that's where we are now as a society. Who is raising our kids?
I'm lucky in that I recognize it, and actively try to keep engaged, to ask questions and talk, to build a good relationship with my children. Unfortunately, a lot of parents don't. They buy kids off, send them to good schools, enroll them in this or that. Those are the girls you see in this picture. Not girls with weak dads, but girls with no dads.
