I remember back when the whole Mac brand loyalty crap was starting, basically right after DOS when computer illiterates were struggling with Windows and hated how "complicated" it was.

A family friend of mine had just gotten Macs for everyone in his family, raving about how great they were, and he decided to demo them for my family and me. Since he was particularly bragging about how "amazing" it was for media, he decided to show us how great it was at playing movies. The file type was unsupported, and the shitty Mac movie player couldn't acquire codecs for the file type.

He spent 30 minutes demoing how easy it was to fix problems like this on a Mac, but gave up when he was unable to fix it.

Naturally he still was trying to tell us how great Macs were for the rest of the evening.
