Last week I had to get through a day of work because of deadlines and had a lot of flu symptoms. The flu homeopathic remedy was able to pull me out of my zombie state and I felt good enough to finish up what I had to do. I didn’t even believe it would work...I never do. Lol. I’m always surprised when my symptoms reduce and go away.

How do you explain placebos to pets? Homeopathy has been proven to help them too.

Show me a double blind study where homeopathic remedies were more effective than placeboes.

Blind people don't write studies on homeopathic remedies. I wouldn't trust it if they did because I can't read braille.

Placebos have been proven to help. It is a real effect and brings real benefit, but it's not because of the substance or chemistry, but because of the mere perception that it will help.

Also, causation is hard. You can't tell what would have happened if you hadn't done anything special, and you just assume that something you did to try to help was what caused it to stop, and assume that the cause was chemical rather than psychological.
