They get to have their pudding, without having finished their meat.

Should have used the wall cover. Yesterday marked Dark Side of the Moon's 45th anniversary. Release date: March 1, 1973

So does OP considering pudding is made from gelatin which is essentially cow bones soaked in acid.

Pudding is a synonym of ‘dessert’ to the British.

Not quite accurate. First off, you're thinking of jell-o. Pudding is usually thickened with cornstarch and flour. Second, you render gelatin by soaking the bones in simmering water, not acid. But I am with you on pointing out hypocrisy in vegetarians.

Oddly enough lots of puddings have gelatin in them... gelatin is animal product and it's not milked or laid. You slaughter the animal to process it.

So it's neither vegan nor vegetarian.

Technically, as they're an English band, shouldn't we assume the referenced pudding would not have gelatin, though? To the English all sorts of baked deserts are called a pudding (none of the common ones containing gelatin, as far as I'm aware), and they also have many savory puddings (e.g. Yorkshire pudding) for that matter.

Given the lyric in question, and the fact that Yorkshire pudding is made with meat drippings, you're definitely correct.

The Wall was /ouralbum/

Are there any queers in the theatre tonight?

Get 'em up against the wall (against the wall)

Now there's one in the spotlight, he don't look right to me

Get him up against the wall (against the...)

And that one looks Jewish and that one's a coon

Who let all this riff-raff into the room?

There's one smoking a joint and another with spots

If I had my way I'd have all of ya shot

I used to like Pink Floyd before I knew what they were about. Now I can't stand them.

Is your enjoyment of an artists work dependent on their personal views, or can you enjoy a work for what it is? I'm not trying to be antagonistic, it's a question I ask myself frequently. Ex: Robert De Niro is a person who's political and societal views are strongly opposed to mine, but I can enjoy his movies anyway (albeit it does take mental effort to disregard what I know of him as a person). It also would be good to seperate Roger Waters from the others as he seems to have a more public vocal political agenda.

Not PF, but Roger Water new album is Blatantly anti Trump and full of SJW bullshit. A real Dead Sea of salty tears. After years of bhying his albums and going to his concerts, im not spending a nickle on this tripe.

I always wondered why citizens of other countries think about American domestic politics. Though I remain informed, I dont think about theirs at all...

Hollywood used to entertain the rest of the world, now we have US politics. Sometimes it suspends belief so much we need reminders that it's not scripted.

Let the music speak for itself. I would never see Roger Waters in concert but god damn do I love spinning Wish You Were Here on the turntable.
