The biggest mistake was getting the slaves in the first place, but back then slavery was regarded different as part of a lucrative global business. Many countries around the world had their hands in slavery. Not saying it was a good choice, but I get it.

Imagine if the European immigrants just would have did all the work by themselves.

Could the Europeans who founded America could have predicted the problems that slavery would have created for future generations?

It would probably be similar to predicting cattle getting human and voting rights. No one in their right mind would expect that from the future, right?
