Sad but true. The Leftist globalist paradigm which is dismantling the modern Western civilization is built on illusions and unrealistic assumptions, on emotions instead of reason.
Nothing new, actually. The Communism, which took its 100 million death toll, was also stemming from good intentions and unrealistic expectations of the same kind of people. This is simply their take two. Going down the same route, because "it will be right this time".

If only more people realized the truth.
But nooooo they are way too busy virtue signaling instead of thinking.
Eventually these "first world" will collapse, and by that point it will be too late. 200 years from now, if a kid google image "UK person" or "German person" there will only be browns.

Conformism, opportunism and groupthink. As usually.
For some countries it may be too late already as it is. Objectively.
Sounds very plausible. My last hope is for the Eastern Europe. But they are too dependent on the large economies of the West, so will be bullied or bought into submission most likely. And if that fails - that is it.
I am not sure the Romans could actually timely detect and follow the downfall of their Empire back then - the technology was not developed enough to give the complete overview of what is going on - but it might have felt a bit similar.
