It's pretty crazy,. When i was that age i didn't know any kids who gave a fuck about who was president, let alone liked him. It's good to see.

At 14 I definitely paid attention, but didn't really have a say and there was no social media at the time to really have an opinion to spread. But that was MySpace times, now with everyone connected on Twitter and fb it's very different

When I was 14 it was trendy to hate Bush but that's as far as anyone seemed to be involved politically.

When I was 14 they were forcing us to read about Watergate. Nearly got eaten by a fox reading that stupid book.

Pres. Bush 41 wasn't reelected due to people's involvement and a tumultuous, media-frenzied election. "It's the economy, stupid."

Pres. Bush 43 was shown so much public hatred and media coverage it was impossible to ignore (i.e. Pres. is stupid and a monkey, Occupy Wall St., "Bush lied, people died," "War for oil"). It was as in-your-face as it gets, similar to today.

Which President Bush were you talking about?

It's because the current president is a meme, and little else.
