if hillary had won, there would be no russian hacking narrative. they wouldnt have needed it, so the fiction wouldnt have had to be written.

That is a very good point. The machine would have completely hidden any mention of possible election irregularities or the perception of such.

before they found out they lost, they smugly stated that the election couldnt be hacked. but that was when they thought they were talking to people who were going to lose.

Exactly. Hillary proclaimed American elections bulletproof during the debates. She attempted to shame Trump lambasting him as unamerican to suggest otherwise. Pretty hilarious how her position has changed on that subject.

Largely true, but there would still be republicans in congress to try it on. I'm sure there are a few of them who once stood in the same room as someone who went to Russia once, better bang on that anti-Russia drum for minor political advantages until we start another cold war. Maybe this time we can actually all die.

They would've still needed it to explain away Seth Rich.

Also, it's a very useful way to discredit the surge in popularity for Trump: It's not that Hillary is unpopular, it's some foreign enemy that's responsible. Being anti-Hillary is anti-american.

She wanted to go to war with them though. There would be another pretext, another Ukraine.

different excuse, most likely.
