It's like there is a God, and he wants us to be happy. Or maybe the Buddhists are right, and Karma is a thing. But hey, in all seriousness, I'm glad that some diverse agents of cultural enrichment were able to show him how unjust his fear is. It's a learning experience for the survivors.

You want Karma? This is how you get Karma.

The bomber was Libyan. The victims were British.

In 1988, a Libyan named Abdelbaset al-Megrahi bombed Pan Am Flight 103 murdering 207 people, 189 of them Americans. He was convicted by the British and sentenced to life in prison. But after serving only 8 years, and in spite of American outrage, the British decided to set Megrahi free and flew him home, where he was welcomed by thousands of cheering Libyans. He went on to live several more years of life as a free man, a celebrated hero of Islam, in Libya.

Just some context there, he had terminal cancer of some kind and would have cost a stupid amount of money to keep behind bars, so they did a deal with the Libyan government who promised not to publicise his return. They lied.
