You also then have to declare you're invoking that right if you want to use it... like, out loud, non-silently...

They do make little business cards that you can hand a cop that declare each of your rights and says which ones you are invoking.

But physically handing that to an officer may be interpreted as an attack or aggressive move and you may be shot, tasered and beaten. Probably in that order.

We should start propagating those on voat.

Fun fact, when invoking that right, each time you speak, even to someone else or cry out in pain from the beating/vice tight cuffs or zip ties, you must re-invoke that right. So make sure you have enough of those right to remain silent cards. But they will probably take them all away once they detain you so, there is that. Avoid police at all cost and don't eyeball them as you pass by. It's like staring at a nigger, they will take notice and things always go downhill from there. Best advice, be known to have enough money to hire the best attorneys and judges. Then you will truly be a free person.

What if you are a mute?

[–] Deplorablepoetry 0 points 3 points (+3|-0) ago  (edited ago)

The cops give no shits if you can't read lips.

Some call the deaf dumb.

In this circumstance it's not just by chance

The deaf can hear better than you and me

And as for the mute they don't ask they just shoot

So you better speak up .......son

Also, technically they would "take you into custody", not arrest you.

[–] Bing11 0 points 1 points (+1|-0) ago

That's the definition of arrest. You're thinking of "charging" someone with a crime.

[–] JonReed 2 points -2 points (+0|-2) ago  (edited ago)

That doesnt match up with the cop acknowledging you have the right to remain silent. Why do they say it but then you have to break your silence?

and also, they use you saying that you ask more questions to force you to speak or theyll keep saying they have the right to place you under arrest. Watch the video i showed you years ago you stupid, stupid faggot

Edit: also, weak people like you wouldnt be able to even utter that invokation because youre on the verge of pissing your pants and youd cough up everything and then say " derp i didnt need to remain serlent." or whatever you think will make whoever youre talking to excuse you for having broken your own rules

The "I haven't been read my rights!" thing is TV drama bullshit. They can arrest and and maybe 2 days later, sit down and try to get all chummy (but it's not an interrogation), maybe push a plea bargain deal or some bullshit, and if the person doesn't spill their guts, then they might read the person their rights and start the formal interrogation.

silence is a God given right, no one can give it or take it away. I guess torture is used to remove it. Otherwise it is only arrogance of the state employees and ignorance of the fact, that prolongs this kind of nonsense idea. We do nothing to gain our body. We have little realistic choice in its functions outside of the choices we make and staying silent is certainly one of them. Many people survive while doing so

"Don't want to talk you're under arrest then." One cop tells you to lean against the car that other tells you to put your hand behind your back. Oh, not following directions? TAKE HIM DOWN! Cuff ya, slam you on the hood of the police car, scream in your ear, toss you in the back of the squad car.

Ask you again if you want to start talking [seems like physical intimidation to give up your rights to me but good luck proving that in court]. then arrest you for resisting arrest. You get a night in the ice box with the bare minimum of clothing, a nice write up in the published police blog about how "charged at the cop and was taken down" but of course they don't actually attempt to pores cute you for it... just be thankful we're not THAT corrupt.

True story, happened to me. The scrapes and bruises heal but wounds from your experience never will.

Cuffs were on, my face connected the roof of the cruiser

I was dealing with a coward abuser

Don't draw attention and if you do

Just stop before what happened to me happens to you too

At least they didn't give you a Chicago style 'ride'. Hand cuffed to the ceiling bars as they drive you all over town at high speed to the South side and kick you out with no socks, shoes, I.D. or pants. Just your underwear. After they splash you with a bottle of thunderbird fortified wine and take off laughing. If the blacks don't kill you, exposure might depending on the time of year. Chicago is no joke.

Well, more specifically you have the right not to incriminate yourself, but that's the form of words they use.

[–] wesofx 1 points 1 points (+2|-1) ago

Yeh, you don't have to tell them how fast you were going, or you can tell them you were driving the speed limit even if you weren't. If they ask if they can search your car, you can tell them no.

[–] Broc_Lia 0 points 1 points (+1|-0) ago

or you can tell them you were driving the speed limit even if you weren't

Not so sure about that one. I think it literally just means you don't have to answer any question which might incriminate you. Which is almost all of them if a police officer is talking to you.

Sing, sing along, sing out loud, sing out wrongs

Don't worry if you don't know the tune, no one cares to hear your song

So just shut, your fucking mouth. La La La - La La La - La La La La La

The current, and I mean for the past 100 years at least, the Supreme Cunts have been an illegitimate force for evil and tyranny with only a few select instances of true unbiased governance. Truly, they are Cunts.
