"I'm totally not a gold digger!"

Breaks up with him over assumed finances.

I mean, it wasn't so much about that. That was probably the sticking point, but I think the reason Will did what he did isn't because he thought she was a gold digger.

He realized her desires and his life style were incompatible. He probably had no interest in the typical "American Dream" lifestyle of growing wealth and having a family.

She wanted that. I don't think that's wrong, primarily because it's viewed as "progress" by most people.

If she started the relationship without such expectations and changed later fair enough. But if she went in expecting him to change for her without making her desires clear at the start then that's her completely on her IMO.

Plus the whole "girl I knew from high school buy her 3rd property'' gives off major warning signs.

When he's 34 or 35, He'll date some cute 22 year old fresh out of school, and start a family with her should he desire to do so.

Dude was probably fine with growing wealthy, which is why he was rocking the stealth wealth. I'm similarly frugal to avoid those expectations.

Girls still ask that. Lately, I've been getting a lot of, "How old are you?" I tell them stupid answers like I'm 11. Wish I was 11 :(

Remember that movie Swingers?

Girl: What do you drive?

Guy: Excuse me?

Girl: Car. What kind of car do you drive?

Guy: Uh, it's a Cavalier.....

Girl turns away.....

If a man with disposable income meets a woman he likes, does he not like to treat her?

Sounds more like the guy dodged a major bullet.

He may have some issues with his frugality, but she sounds like someone who won't be happy when she gets what she wants.

You are so right about her. That guy dodged a serious drain on his sanity, savings, and income by just by not mentioning it, she'd have spent more time arguing reasons to spend every penny, put the money to "work", build a future "together" with a business / investment / purchase of a home or some other "once in a lifetime" vacations to places he'd probably never really give a shit to visit.

Nothing wrong with living frugally regardless of your income, the best thing wealth can buy isn't luxury its peace of mind.

I'd ensure any long term commitment with her would include a Pre-Nup.

Other than that, she still seems like an future first ex-wife.

He may have some issues with his frugality

What? He wasn't endangering his health or anything, was he? He realized that buying a fancy car to impress the neighbors is a waste.

Don't get me wrong some new cars are nice with all the gizmos and thingies. I just hate how some have all these extra steps to change a head light, battery, oil, or etc. I rather have a car that's easy to maintain, but those kind of engineers are not working in the auto industry. Damn planned obsolescence. Also, the ability to hack some of them to force you to crash like paul walker or michael hastings is just unappealing. Things like that bother especially when you drop a good chunk of change on it. Another example, the cellular phone. We all know it's unsecure and leaking our personal info which is being sold and we're not even given a piece of the pie. To pay 500$ for something like that makes me feel stupid. Then you look at the hardware specifications of such a phone and you realize for that same price one could get a more powerful computer. Stuff like that it makes me think twice about getting the latest new material. Then again I'm not a billionaire either. If I was, I'd go the custom route.

That guy dodged a bullet. You know this girl is crazy just from the fact that she was using facebook to judge her own life and its worth and happiness. Ha! You do that and you will always be a miserable person. And even if she knew he had lots of money he clearly doesn't want that lifestyle. She would have stayed with him begging and pleading for some of it and they would have argued the whole time and eventually if he was smart and not pussy starved would have dumped her ass anyway.

Also, I've heard these stories numerous times. Either its fake or there are a lot of crazy women out there that don't even know what happiness and love is. Money doesn't make you happier or love someone more. A wedding ring and multiple houses doesn't make you happier or love someone more. And for those that are poor and think money will buy them some happiness, the studies have been done. After the first $75k it doesn't do shit but buy you new and different problems.

With absolutely no accursatory undertones here: What are your own thoughts on what happiness and love are?

An ex who dumped me right after I moved from a decent paying but long work hours high stress position to a less stressful less but a little less well paying position tried to connect with me when she learned I wasn't far from graduating college with a degree that could potentially earn (with a lot of luck and a few years of experience behind me) me an above average income.

We met at a mutual friends birthday party and while a bit tipsy she basically said "now that you are on the way up you can now chase me". The last time we spoke face to face before this and she outright said she needed someone to make her ideal future happen which is an okay dream I guess if not for how shes never held down a job that paid more than minimum wage aka her boss would pay her less but its illegal.

This. These people have no idea what a connection actually feels like. They're trying to fabricate connections. It's so desperate and ugh. And yes, she IS a gold digger, because when she determined he wasn't in possession of the financial portfolio she wanted, she bailed. Jfc.

The biggest problem I see is that instead of her trying to make a better future for themselves, she expects the man to make a better future for her.

She also pathologized his personal choices because they didn't suit her wants. Fuck people who act like they're a psychologist in heaven able to have a God's-eye view of everyone's issues.

I have mixed feelings about this, but it's still funny.

If he really made it seem like he was barely making ends meet and her concern was that he was too much of a NEET to ever be able to provide for children then I could understand where she was coming from, but that is a conversation they could have had. From the things she describes though talking about her married friends that own 3 properties I get the impression her main motivation is jealousy.

But I thought beauty was on the inside! That's what all the feminist driven propaganda tells me, I shouldn't judge people (as in, women) by their looks, but by their wonderful personality.

You know what? Fuck her, and fuck women in general. Guy is a genius and should be a role model for every man out there.

Cause that's how people with money keep it, you dumb bitch. It's leased to oil companies. That shit won't last forever.

If she really gave a half a crap she would've tried to solve the problem instead of bailing.

Link for those curious.

Strangely she wants him back after finding out what kind of money he makes. This is why I'm MGTOW, not because I don't want to start a family, but because I'm done spending time sorting the absolute trash that make up 98% of American women.
