Misuse of Captain Hindsight. What you want is Captain Obvious. Anyone with half a brain was able to foresee the effects of strengthening the federal government.

It's also amusing to hear Democrats cry about a "divided country" when they caused the problem by insisting every law has to be a federal law. Back when states were making most of the laws, it was much easier to find common ground for national issues.

Everyone has to be equally miserable, that's the socialist way.

That's the main thing I'm hoping for out of the Trump Presideny, a return to focusing on issues t the state level. If Alabama doesn't want single payer healthcare that fine. But my and the rest of the New York liberals can get to work on doing it here. If we did it nation wide, my state would be paying for a bunch of other states that don't pull their own weight anyway.

They didn't care about a "divided country" in 08, 12 or on November 7, 2016.

I love the fact Harry Reid changed the rules when Democrats were in power so you didn't need 60 votes to force a vote in Congress, and only needed a simple majority (50+) Guess which party now has 50+ seats AND majority in the House?

Go on....guess...

That didn't happen you still need 60 votes to force cloture. That's why the first Obamacare repeal is only budgetary

That's dumb.

I think Trump has too much executive power. I don't remember spending decades supporting centralizing executive power. Did I?

But thanks for centralizing it.

Now, preheat the ovens.

Seems like I first heard about abuse of signing statements during George W Bush. Whether or not that's the start of the abuse Obama exploited them instead of restricting their use.

Why was this posted in the sub "funny"? This should have been posted in "politics" because it's spot on... and not funny at all.
