I think the rot goes much deeper than just the Admins. Last year at a point when SRSSucks changed the rules and practically surrendered to the whims of SRS and started forcing changes to stop brigading on its part, things felt fishy and quite a few people left. I was one of those.

I was quickly invited to mod an alternative private sub that didn't kowtow the SRS line and pretty soon it was banned with most members being shadowbanned. I was spared for whatever reason(Maybe my decision to not vote and test the water before doing so helped me). We started all over again with the same core members, with a new sub and pretty soon it got banned too. We started to use VPNs and MAC Spoofers, and discussing tactics on a provate irc channel just to try and see how the Admins kept finding us and they kept finding us. Maybe there was a mole among us.

What I mean is that for them to pursue us to that extent even though the worst things we did was vote on comments in linked threads confuses me. There were 5 of us.

One of them knew a lot about the Admins and even posted one guilty Admin's name on irc, but he was quite paranoid. A quick google search revealed them to be a well respected member of the 'industry'

Do you recognize the irony of your statement?

It's quite simple. Reddit attracts really shitty moderators. I've seen people who can't handle their mod tag on everything from big subs to small minecraft server subreddits.
