This 1926 was a huge hit for Colleen Moore. Based on the comic strip (which itself was based on the tale of Cinderella), the film tells of the put-upon Ella who wins a chance to go to Hollywood and make movies. It's a wonderful film and Colleen Moore is a joy to watch. I've scored the film with jazz tunes of the 1920s found right here on archive.org. For more on Colleen Moore and a list of the songs I used, see AManAndAMouse.blogspot.com/2014/12/how-colleen-moore-broke-into-movies.html
