I'm afraid that if xda doesn't have any good information on it, you are likely out of luck. Do you know what the difference between the a73 & a73f is? I can't find hardly anything about the a73f; might they be the same phone?

Yeah I'm definitely out of luck but I did manage to suppress a lot of the absolutely cancerous things on the phone by getting into the harder to reach settings eg. they separated the ability to use the internet from the app permissions page and hid it under cellular and wifi connections, I changed the system default launcher to apex launcher and now have a menu button, etc. but it's still a shit tier phone with how locked down everything is and I wish I didn't buy it at all now.

To be honest I have no clue about any differences between the a73 and a73f. I hadn't even heard of oppo as a brand before I bought my phone and now that I have I would recommend ignoring them like they've come out in favor of communism and sponsored gay pride marches. The more known brand phones might not have as high specs for the same price but they're light years ahead everywhere else where it actually counts.

You might be better off selling the oppo & buying something else. I personally recommend the OnePlus One; it's well supported by the modding community & can be found in the $150 range on eBay for the 32GB model. I have been rocking an OP One for the last 3 years now, am getting regular updates from LineageOS, and I honestly haven't run into anything that the phone can't handle performance wise. OnePlus's other phones are good as well but don't seem to be quite as much of bargain considering price vs specs.
