Search engine, buddy. I know how to do it, but there are a zillion tutorials out there. If you are "computer literate" you should have no problem working it out.

Search engines are increasingly gamed by companies and individuals wanting to make a buck or trick you into some bullshit. When it comes to finding good information from trustworthy people, search engines have become fairly useless. If you're new to something, your bullshit detector is fairly useless.

Not only this. Google anything on technology and the most relevant information isn't always easy to find, often hidden away on some forum. Especially with android stuff, you will often end up finding pages and pages of outdated blogspam/shitty articles, while the better active wikis/community projects take time to discover.

As was already said, Lineage + F-droid and the xda forums are good resources.

oh i'm not scared of the technical aspect so much.

I'm just aware of how much bullshit is out there, and searching "best ______" would yield a million different opinions, for a million different reasons. I trust voaters more. :)

I'm using crombi-kk currently. I believe it's based on cyanogen.
