Based on the sound research, many review papers have concluded 0.82g/lb is the upper limit at which protein intake benefits body composition (Phillips & Van Loon, 2011). This recommendation often includes a double 95% confidence level, meaning they took the highest mean intake at which benefits were still observed and then added two standard deviations to that level to make absolutely sure all possible benefits from additional protein intake are utilized. As such, this is already overdoing it and consuming 1g/lb just ‘to be safe’ doesn’t make any sense. 0.82g/lb is already very safe.
Same, sorta. The more ripe my farts, the more likely I am to believe that I'm getting enough protein. If I can't clear a room, from another room mind you, from my farts alone, I'm not getting enough protein.

Yeah. It's a crutch point with weight loss to learn to eat less at meals and snack healthier between which gives the Avenue to learn to space out your protein intake.

Since different sources of protein (per gram) have different percentages of bioavailabity. Wouldn't the amount of protein (g/lbs) vary?

I wondered this as well.

I listen to my body to let me tell me if I am eating properly for the amount of training I am doing through hunger.

That's one way to do it.

I think 30g-50g of protein per meal is what is needed if you are doing good strength training.

Here is a protein intake calculator if you want to be precise

I think the cutoff is up to 50g of protein per 2hrs. Everything over that amount/timeframe gets wasted.
