There really isn't an answer to this question. There are too many variables. How much effort are you exerting? How long are your rest periods? What muscle groups are you working? There isn't really an "average 40 minute workout".

If you post what you're doing, what your rest periods are, the intensity level of each lift, etc. we can try and give you an estimate. Currently the estimate is "Between 1 and 10,000"
