Or you could just have some restraint and leave the fucking beer alone while sticking to your normal workout plan. Get some work done instead if anything.

If I worked out when stressed on top of my regular work outs, my muscles would be screaming in mercy from overuse. I think this idea only works if you barely work out in the first place.

Or you could switch up muscle groups. I think the point of the OP was to change to healthier habits not necessarily going full workout mode when you want a beer.

Good rule of thumb, to avoid alcoholism, is to never drink when you're sad/stressed/upset. It's too effective at killing all the fucks you have to give. Drink when in a good mood, when chilling with friends or BBQing, etc. My go-to thing to do (when angry) is chores; tidying up the house and such.
