Welcome! Keep going, once you get past the first month it becomes routine and it'll be hard to miss a day. Resting depends on your goals or the workout. I generally rest for 30 seconds to a minute to keep my heart rate up but powerlifting can go as high as 2-4 minutes. These people are most decidedly not powrrlifting and taking 5-10 minutes between sets.
