I wanted to get into running, so I joined a novice group. Quite a few members were actually far above novice, running marathons etc, but whatever right? Until everyone else who was novice started dropping out. My condition isn't bad, but eventually I was left with about 5 people who were all marathon runners. The group leader told me he wants to make it available for everyone, however I keep holding the group up, forcing them to wait for me. It's horrible... I have to skip half of the route if I want to be done at the same time. Also I'm getting pushed far beyond my limits. Like when the rest is waiting for me and I'm halfway there, and my coach wants me to run faster to keep up but I'm already feeling dizzy and really bad. I just can't keep up. I think I'm quitting this group for good now, but it's really sad because it was fun while it lasted with the other novices.

FUCK! LEAVE THE GROUP, BUT DON'T YOU DARE GIVE UP!!! FIND THOSE OTHER PEOPLE THAT DROPPED OUT AND MAKE YOUR OWN GROUP. DID YOU HAVE A GOAL DISTANCE OR TIME FOR RUNNING? YOU CAN DO IT!

The others left because they gave up. I don't really have a goal, I just want to get faster I guess? I do track and time my runs. I'm going to try and find others, but I've also felt like maybe just quitting running for a while and start lifting more. I'll be cycling to work over an hour a day starting the next week anyway.
