I've got a fur hat and a pair of moccasins, having fur's never bothered me. Probably helps that both were made locally... not sure if they use the meat or not though. It's all from local animals that there's tons of, at least.

I'm somewhere in the middle... Fur is very luxurious, i can see the appeal. I don't have an issue with fur for traditional indigenous living or for survival. I'm more ok with fur/leather from animals we already kill to eat since it makes sense to make use of everything. For fashion... I stay away. Maybe If I had information from the manufacturer on how they harvest fur for their products and agreed with their practices Id be more likely to buy. Since I usually don't know, I usually avoid. I'm not big on fur for fashion. I buy things that fit well, and will survive the elements and washing. I dont see fur items as being the most effective or practical.

Thanks, I totally see what you mean. I inherited a mink stole from my grandma, and I just can't bring myself to wear it. It just seems absurd.

Ah! So impractical. Id probably put it on briefly at home or maybe on a fancy date depending on style.

I like to drape my fluffy cat over my shoulder and carry him around my living room for a bit, stoking his fur. he makes a good imitation stole when he stays still. Very fancy.
