hypertension, diabeetus, heart disease, a.k.a "the triad". tubbies dont know this but their physician writes these down on their chart after about a 0.8 second occular assessment then asks if they've been diagnosed with those conditions [yet] only as a formality.

Literally government mandated. Meaninful use attestation requires a shitton of metrics (selected from a list of options). One of the easiest and most common to pick are childhood and adult obesity - where you're basically required to talk to at least 80% of obese patients about weight loss during their visit. Fats may bitch about it because they're too fucking stupid to know, but HHS (and doctors, and actual people) knows that obesity is the #1 killer and #1 driver of medical costs in the US.
