fitbits cause disordered eating now? The flex just keeps tracks of steps you take.... WTF is wrong with these fats... they are truly mentally unstable and unhealthy and it shows outwardly.

There could be two maybe even as many as three sufferers worldwide. Let's raise awareness of the issue in case it will ever matter to anyone.

Also a convenient issue to hide behind for people who are too lazy to exercise - but that's just a coincidence, I'm sure.

If she truly had an eating disorder, she'd know that getting a Fitbit could be a bad idea. I had anorexia coupled with overexercise for years, (at my worst I was 94 pounds at 5'8). I have fully recovered, but don't think getting a Fitbit would be a good idea because I feel like it'd be really easy to fall back into the cycle of obsessing over the calories burned/eaten. It sort of sucks, because it seems convenient, but sometimes you need to be an adult and stay away from things even though you really want them.

This bitch just wants a reason to ignore the fact that walking for three minutes at zero incline on a treadmill doesn't do jack shit for fitness. Also, fuck her for thinking that not eating for three hours then walking to the fridge and back is an eating disorder.

If these HAES people really believed in exercise/"joyful movement"/etc., whence cometh their vociferous objection to FitBits? Why is muscle only acceptable to them if it's corseted by thick layers of fat?

She said that your body knows exactly the right about of energy it needs to function properly and the amount of energy it needs to get rid of.

Fuck me, are there therapists out there who are really that stupid, or did this butter balloon just make that shit up?

Both.

Most therapists are hams.

No. Actual therapists who specialize in eating disorders don't fall for this dumb shit.

That's why they are therapists and not nutritionists

*dieticians. Nutritionist isn't a protected term, so any fat Tumblr hog can call themselves one.

Also your body knows exactly how to treat diabetes, so when you get one (not if, when) don't bother going to the doctor and just do whatever your body tells you to do.

If you don't grasp the basics of feeding yourself, don't buy work out equipment.

I think this is really a case of fats not knowing the difference between a healthy lifestyle and an eating disorder. Getting 10,000 steps and eating less than 3000 calories is not disordered eating, but to them, it's starving. Fatty realised a basic human lifestyle is too much work and not enough sugar and played the eating disorder card to get out of it.

Exactly, to them, discipline is disordered. Not being stuffed til your sick = starving.

I'd love to see a picture of this chick to see how triggered she really is. Arguments like this really take away from anyone who has a legit ED

I know you guys know, just preaching to the choir over here...

"That piece of technology doesn't know what's best for you. Your body does."

Yeah that's why the majority of Westerners are fat. Because we all know what's best for us.

Someone needs to learn the difference between what their body wants and what their body needs.
