The sweet tea I drink has 12g of sugar per serving, with about 3 servings in a can.

I go through about 2.5 cans a day, on average (some days 2, some 3, so let's call it 2.5), which comes out to... about 90g of sugar a day. Since I otherwise avoid sugary things like the plague, I honestly don't think that's too bad.

I've tried to drink unsweetened tea, and... yeah, no. Not happening. I don't care for coffee and I'm sure as hell not going back to drinking soda, so I need to get my caffeine fix from somewhere.

Hmm... unverified... I'm suspicious.

I really don't think we should be hating on the unverifieds.

But I'm suspicious too.

Check his comment history. Sounds super neckbeardy. Would be more surprised if he was a fat in denial than anything else.

You realize the WHO recommend no more than 25 grams of sugar a day right??

I'm going to go with Arizona Sweet Tea, right? I'd recommend buying actual tea you can brew and maybe adding sugar if you really can't go without. I love unsweet tea, but I know some people can't do it. Arizona's are good once in a while, but its pretty much just high fructose corn syrup in a can.

Nope.

Ingredients of the tea I'm drinking right now (as written): brewed natural black tea (filtered water, black tea), sugar, citric acid, natural flavors, sucralose.

Unless one of those is HFCS by another name, I'm not seeing it on here.

Honestly I'm not a fan of the taste of lemon.

When I swapped to drinking tea from soda around... three years ago? I pretty much started drinking the same stuff my roommate was drinking at the time. I'll admit I haven't experimented much with other things, but since I moved to the south I've had unsweetened tea a few times, and it was less than pleasant.

I've thought about going to caffeine pills and switching to various fruit juices, but the selection down here sucks absolute ass (pretty much all I've found thus far is shitty apple juice). But I'm also a bit leery of switching to caffeine pills, as my understanding is that your body processes pills differently than "actual" food/drink? I could be wrong on that, but that's what I recall.
