Have you seen a soda machine nozzle? Most people don't know you should clean them at least once a week and soak them every night. 90% of soda machines are disgusting. The sink is probably the cleanest option. Most people don't clean out the ice dispenser either. Ughhh. Shiver.

I run the water for a bit before putting my cup under. Cleans out the residual sprite or whatever.

The nozzles are a breeding ground for mold. A hundred years ago when I worked at a theater I saw the most disgusting nozzles. If you take them off you can see this nasty old syrup crust and mold loves to eat that sugar goo. And the upper area where the nozzles attach is never cleaned either.

Water nozzle usually dispenses something like tea. Tea isn't carbonated so it's just plumbed for water. The water tab dispenses just the water without the syrup.
