Such as

Now can we find an on switch for working out?

and

Switch-off your fridge. Guaranteed to end your problem.

and

I'm not a scientist but I've discovered a better option. Two switches. Switch 1: eat only what you need to live. Switch 2: be more active. The human body hasn't evolved to sit on the couch watching 8 hours of TV per day yet and eating 5000 calories per day isn't going to make that happen any faster.

But it doesn't matter. No one is coming here for truth. This is only clickbait.

Even criticism that wasn't shitlording get removed:

This is probably the most click-baitey title I have ever seen on reddit. For shame.

I liked:

I look forward to the day when I can come to the comments of an article about obesity without seeing one or several deleted comment threads at the top.

This comment doe; it hurt muh brain:

One theory is the food reward hypothesis. The theory is that certain signals in the environment signal that food is easy to get, so your body raises its set point and you gain weight. The signals that signify food is easy to get are the same ones that make food palatable.

So food that is easy to digest, has a rich flavor, has a mix of fat and sugar, has multiple flavored mixed together, etc makes the food more palatable but it also increases obesity. Basically, a rise in processed food helped raise people's set points.

Seriously, what the fuck? What.... what are they even trying to say? Did they just try and blame obesity on that bullshit "set point" theory? It sounds like the ramblings on an insane obeast right before it murders a few cases of oreos. I'm not even sure this person is coherent, if it's a person at all. Please tell me that's one of you very fine shitlords trolling...

That quote what the fuck. I mean I've thought something was full of shit, but that logic looks like it was pulled straight from their ass.

Here's my much more logical theory about that theory: Grease chuggers are straight up terrified of admitting they are unable to control themselves and eat less so they will literally invent theories as to why fat people are fat that doesn't include their own pathetic incompetent willpower.

I got a good laugh out of the comments screaming about food being designed to make people keep eating. Multiple people essentially saying "It's not my fault I'm fat! The food's just too delicious to stop eating!" I swear it reads like satire.

Exactly! That's why FA was created, because nobody wants to take responsibility for their fatness. Not sure what's worse, the fatties or the sympathizers, but it's out of control. They'll do anything to displace the blame for their weight, as long as it doesn't entail exercise or portion control.

This set point horseshit I keep seeing is going to make my brain fucking melt. Metabolism between different humans differs by about fucking nil.

Sounds like they're trying to say that more tasty or processed the food the less satiated you feel eating it.

The craziest is that the whale who fessed up to why he eats so much was removed. They really hate it when one of their own fesses up. The second I read the title it occurred to me that this really wouldn't work to solve obesity in our culture. Because most fat people aren't eating out of hunger. I mean it doesn't take much food before the feeling of hunger goes away. Any actual hunger response should be gone when they're hardly even part way into those giant meals they love so much. And hell, there's also the snack food and soda issue. They're not going for those out of hunger at all.

Most fat people and probably almost all obese people eat because they like eating. If one could somehow just remove their head and keep it alive that head would still be begging to constantly eat and eat and eat. It's so ridiculous when they refuse to fess up to it though. They always want to play that sympathy card where they make it seem like they're going to be starving to death if they're not constantly shoving food in their mouths.

I'm normally not one to speculate this far from the data. But I'd be happy to bet that this wouldn't translate to results in most humans. The reason rodents overeat and the reasons people in our culture overeat aren't the same.

OMG. When we give fat rats leptin, they STOP EATING. That's because rats, unlike humans, don't ignore their bodily signals of fullness for the sake of, frankly, carnal pleasure. This will do no good in humans unless it makes eating no fun at all. And then all the fats will refuse to take it because it will remove one of their chief joys in life.

Ugh so much ham squealing why they can't stop eating. Even more disgusting than their bodies are their lazy, entitled, manipulative personalities. Fat, inside and out.

I considered archiving, but the thread is new, so comments are being posted, and probably deleted, as we speak.
