I have a huge issue with the fact that you're going through people's facebook accounts. That is just wrong and yet another reason to get off facebook.

I had been told that people do this and had yet to find someone who openly admits to that and I equate that to the same thing as checking someone's credit for a job position.

If you live on a cash system and don't want credit, then you don't' have credit and it looks bad. I learned growing up that if you can't pay for 2 of the same item you want in cash then you can't afford it.

No, I am not some fatass mayo tanker spewing fatspo or anything of the like, I am a regular user of FPH, and was on Reddit. I am concerned that this is occuring as an IT Manager and someone who has worked closely with HR to hire people. I am not obese, I have around 10 lbs to go to be at a normal BMI. Feel free to PM if you are curious or want more info, I don't mind sharing, I had extra weight for 6 years after having my gall bladder out. I never ate shit food, just couldn't process food correctly until my body adjusted. I was thin when I had it removed and even though my ex-wife was told I would gain weight, she made me feel like shit every day for it. Anyways. I have posted about her and my health on here before if you want to check. Again, I am not obese, morbidly obese, right at the overweight level. Again I can provide anyone that wants to know more information. IBS-D makes it impossible for me to gain weight now.

When you send someone your resume you can't put your picture on it. By federal law if you get on with a picture you can't even consider the person. The fact that your pre-screening people on facebook is a violation of federal law. Just so you know.

http://www.eeoc.gov/laws/practices/ search for Photo with Ctrl-F

You're breaking the law and just admitted to it.

Edit: To avoid breaking the law, you can have them come in and do a "Pre-Test". Then don't hire them based on the test. However, in reality, you just want a look at them. You can also do a Skype interview. I have used that as well and is completely legal.

Get the fuck out fatty. Come back when you hit that normal BMI... maybe... that can't help you with your ignorance of social media.

Also, Ignorance of Social Media....Using Facebook or Twitter is being ignorant. I replied to you in private and feel free to post it here. I gave legitimate reasons for my current BMI. Even people admit on here there are actually legitimate reasons for weight gain. I can provide you or anyone with actual medical documentation. I don't go around claiming I have conditions or anything of the like. I have never claimed to be a normal BMI when posting either.

That being said, if you want the mods to ban me, so be it. I have done nothing but add to the conversation here and enjoy the subverse, I don't even lurk.

So again, do what you must.

Fine. I'll leave. See you guys soon. Doctors can't find out why I won't stop losing weight as is and I am currently on anti-biotics to kill all bacteria in my gut and trying a new IBS-D drug called Viberzi.

I live in Europe and here it is fine to add a picture on your resume if you want to. (I always do it.) And people should put there facebook/linkedin on private if they do not want to be found on internet. I think every company will google the names on the shortlist to check some basic stuff out. And people are ignorant if they do not consider this.

Sounds to me that law is behind of the current times, not effective and impossible to enforce.

As a person Who does hire people you Are 100% correct. If you are on my shortlist you will be vetted on your social media usage.

Pro-tip, please dont be the type of person with only 3am club-time updates..

I dont do it to those who dont keep their facebook private. Privace, accepting others will hound you down, being kind etc are all the types of personality traits I look for.

I wont accept someone who posts on the internet supporting something I dont support because face it, I will have to work with this person.

Yes,those who work with me or even above me know I do not like fat. Know that I push for soccer games. Tell the tech guys when they start to smell. YES it has helped. Sometimes people just need a pushing. However, fat disgusts me. It is the result of a lifetime of bad choices. I know you'll make those bad choices again if you are fat.

2/2 too much for one post.

Your last comment is kinda contradictory to my personal experience. I was never fat, played football in high school and was a swimmer. Have always had a gym membership since I was 14. I love lifting weights. I hate running, though, I bike for my cardio. Anyways, I was normal BMI before I had my gall bladder out. Once I had that happen. I not only had 6 incisions in my chest / stomach, but I couldn't process food the same way. I had a duct in my gall bladder that wasn't functioning correctly and ended up having my appendix out at the same time because it was about to burst. I grew up eating fresh veggies from my Opa's farm in texas as well as eating Texas beef and chicken. I had it great growing up. Had an awesome metabolism. However, nothing prepared me for not being able to eat lettuce or anything green for the first year without having excruciating cramps or eating anything but lean meat because any fat did the same thing. I still ate healthy as anything with any type of fat was instant stomach cramps. Now, 6 years later my weight is coming down back to a normal BMI. Over the past year, I have dropped weight and haven't gained any. So about 10 more lbs and I are going to be a normal BMI. I got shitlord for years by my ex-wife. She physically and mentally abused me for years.

So I don't think your gonna see me gain the weight back, I have a kid who I am setting an example for after all. Also, my son isn't overweight and due to him probably being short I have strict diet rules for him. No sugary drinks, not even juice. He drinks milk, but it is Fair Life 2% and only a small glass a day. He has vitamins and fiber supplements(this kid shits bigger than I do atm, working on that), he can't have anything with red dye as it makes him hyper. He usually has water mixed with lemon, like daddy drinks. We cook together and only Free Range Eggs, Texas Beef that is Free of Antibiotics / hormone / grass fed (costs me 8+ bucks but it is the only beef I can eat), always have veggies as well. I can finally eat just about any veggie that doesn't have little seeds, still can't process whole grains well. Never any type of bread, and if we do it is for a hot dog that is uncured(special occasion). We are members of the local farmers co-op so we get fresh fruits and veggies weekly. After all this work and effort I want my son to grow up with the best chance like I did with how my parents fed me and my brother. His behavior is so much different on this diet as well. He doesn't live with me full time, and he visits me often, though. His mother follows me strict guidelines and I buy any vitamins / supplements he takes. If there is anything she can't buy I give her money for it or purchase it myself, or send back with him.

My post was just to make you aware that your breaking a law that is all.

Still looking at someone's facebook before they come in is breaking the law. I had to get onto the HR department when I noticed it happening. I was the IT manager of a 100 person office and needed more help as they were expanding. I could see what the HR department was doing on the network. I was concerned they were using facebook and shouldn't have been. I blocked it at the firewall and I got a call about 5 seconds later. I found out what they were doing and put an end to it. If your company is audited and the network traffic is logged you can get into trouble, and I don't mean a slap on the wrist trouble.

There have been lawsuits about this, and even in the news, they have talked about this practice.

You can't do it to those who have it set to private.
(well, you can but that is for companies that pay to see that side of facebook. Yes you can do this, my sister-in-law is a former Facebook employee and revealed this to me after her NDA ran out, she is Peurto Rican, I have posted about her on here and was in charge of the latin countries, worked in the Austin office.)

I have no issues with you being upfront with someone about not liking fat people. I don't like them, I didn't like it when I had extra weight, and still don't' like the fact that I am not quite at normal BMI. I am not saying it doesn't help you find people you're looking for to work with, I am saying it isn't legal.

There are reasons for personality profile tests. This is to find out the info you would find out on facebook. Also, you can do a skype interview and find out really quick what they look like.

2 - Part Post as it wont' let me post this much.
