I agree with you. A woman's self worth is not tied to male opinion. It is bizarre that in this day and age some people still don't realize that. It's common sense, we are humans and are not innately subservient to the opinions of a particular kind of human. We do what makes us happy, if you don't like it, you don't have to be involved. We don't assume that men act the way they do to please women, why assume the opposite? haha

I like to date via one night stands which sounds bizarre, but has given me some really great and happily temporary relationships in the past. I like short term flings, like a few months at a time, but I don't want any emotional stuff right now. (Oddly enough, every time the emotions do come up it is usually the guy getting weirdly attached to me. The guys in the comments keep saying we won't find guys who want to stay with us but I am personally having the opposite problem!!! lol) Anyway, if the point of the fling is to have sex, which for me it is, then I will try guys out by having sex. I can't tell from a conversation about hobbies if he's going to make a good Dom or not, I can't tell by his university major whether or not he is creative or generous in bed. So I find a one night stand and if he's good I pitch the idea of a no-strings-attached friends with benefits arrangement. If not, oh well, at least he was pretty.

It works great for me, but it's totally not for everyone. I just wish the guys I find would stick to the "no strings" plan because the last one tried to plan out our future together and even asked about my genetic medical history so he'd know what "our children" might be susceptible to. Seriously.... if you have any tips for keeping guys casual and not letting them want to be long-term boyfriends do share your secrets!!!
