Soo wat is nudge theory?

In a nutshell, ahem, it's exactly as the name suggests. It's supposed to nudge the populace into healthier choices.
From what I can tell it has lead to a mild exercise campaign in thisgirlcan, cartoon ads to reduce sugar alongside a monitoring app and not much else of note.
It feels like it's applying a 'soft parenting' approach to governance.

Politicians lacking the political will to combat obesity (as they are unwilling to upset the fat masses) seem to cling onto nudge theory as the only solution. Funny that.
