But being a fat lazy cow is really showing the patriarchy that you aren't obedient.

If defying patriarchal BMI norms is a sign of liberation, Republican-voting, abortion-banning corporal-punishment-in-schools Mississippi is actually the most feminist state and liberal Colorado is the least feminist.

I'm starting to think a lot of medical professionals have given up on these walruses and are simply telling them what they want to hear so they'll keep paying for their services.

Wait what? How does the number of calories you consume have anything to do with your weight?

Those shitlord doctors!

I tried to explain that I practice intuitive eating, that my body tells me to eat nothing but black coffee and some occasional celery, and that it's unhealthy to ignore my body's signals, but they wouldn't listen.

Yes, according to the BMI scale, I'm "severely underweight", but we all know what a crock BMI is!

I just want to be treated for the medical issue I made an appointment for (repeated episodes of unexplained fainting), but instead I'm being told to gain 20 pounds and threatened with involuntary hospitalization! This is egregious weight discrimination and body shaming!

Just treat me like you'd treat an obese person with a fainting problem. Would you tell them to gain weight? Of course not!

Next time I'll find a doctor who believes in these important concepts from HAES.

A dietician saying it's okay to be obese is no different from the "25% of doctors recommend Marlboro" Phillip Morris ads. HAES/FA ideology is doing an industry's work without the diabetes mills paying them a dime.

I'm not surprised, however. It's common for sociologists to dismiss IQ and other metrics--despite the founding father of statistics, Francis Galton, being a hereditarian race-realist shitlord--so why wouldn't it be common for dieticians to be as PC about BMI as anthropologists are about human populations and sociologists are about IQ?

I was given a dietician when I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes (not the fat kind) a couple of years back, she told me that if I ever got bored of water I could substitute it for diet coke. My point is that you should never blindly trust a dietician.

Jesus Christ. Your dietician should substitute oxygen for.... Something that kills it. Sorry, to tired be clever. Mayo.

I've learned throughout the years that it's safer to double check everything, because you never know when someone might be wrong. Sometimes you have to check quietly though...but especially dieticians and those 'nutritionists' and shi these days

I never even made an appointment, if my therapist brings it up again I won't hesitate to tell her why.

I like this. It's the reverse of the idea that a person won't get hired somewhere because of the dumb shit on their Facebook page. As shitlords we can use Facebook to avoid fat people before even having to meet them!

Plot twist: she doesn't actually believe in HAES, she just wants to make everybody fat so she can be the thinnest. Unlikely but one can dream. I mean... She's a dietitician... The thought of someone like that treating someone recovering from an ED makes me sick, similar to Minnie Maud.

It honestly baffles me when people claim that being obese is somehow feminist. I see nothing feminist about having women be sick, stupid, weak, and unable to take responsibility for their own actions. I see nothing feminist about an obsession with making people think you're beautiful. It's shallow as fuck.
