"Hey junkies, let's shoot up together and talk about how empowered we are!"

This is a good idea of a parody poster to put next to it.

"Hey Junkies, lets kick off Heroin acceptance week by learning how to enjoy each gram and talk about ourselves in ways that allows us to continue with this lifestyle. We will shoot up some Heroin and watch Trainspotting while nodding off...."

Put a photo showing someone warming up the heroin in a spoon. Then a photo of a junkie's arm tied up for injecting.

YES, please do this OP and post results. I always draw this connection in my mind whenever I hear about "fat activists." I always imagine "alcoholic activists" or "hard drug activists" saying analogous things and think about how people would immediately be repulsed, yet when it comes to obesity, something just as (if not more) dangerous health-wise than alcohol/drug abuse, people just ignore it, or worse, SUPPORT it...

I think body acceptance is useful when it's stuff you legitimately can't control- like, if you were born with deformities, or even accepting your body type (like apple shape vs. pear shape, I know that people have insecurities about not having that perfect hourglass ratio even when you're fit), or accepting issues related to skin color. But not when your body acceptance issues can literally be resolved by putting down that massive cheesecake and going for a walk for a bit. It's an insult to people with body issues that they literally can't control.

Just go and eat all the chocolate, complain how you can't gain weight no matter what, and leave early before the shitty movie starts.

It's what they do to human parties.

We were actually really considering showing up to this "party" to eat all the chocolate and do exactly what you said. Shit would be hilarious.

Celebrate my love for my body by gorging with chocolates and watching a crappy movie with a bunch of fat girls?

Can almost guarantee the week will end with a Smash the Scale party that fatties like to have.

Because, you know, it's the scale's fault you inhaled hundreds of thousands of excess calories.

You should go, and wear short shorts and a tank top to show off your bod. And have one or two pieces of chocolate and politely decline as "it's bad for my body and I love my body the way it is"

Get a bunch of suicide prevention pamphlets. Print out a bunch of stickers or staple pieces of paper to them saying, "Obesity is Suicide". Hand out the pamphlets to all attending, telling them that suicide is not the answer, and that there are people who can help them.

Or at least take them there ahead of time for them to find. Please, please do this!
