I agree as a knee-jerk reaction...but keep in mind that long term you may make some workplace enemies doing so.

Not as bad as uppity ladies who report men for being nice, but you'll be "that chick who gets HR involved" to folks.

Of course if this is constant badgering, fuck it you deserve respect.

This freak essentially called her a whore. In front of a male colleague and in a pretty disgusting way. Not to mention, it sounds as if this is a course of conduct that is not going to end. In fact, it just escalated. I would not have suggested HR for a first time offense. This is bad.

I agree with this. There is a difference between being "that chick who gets HR involved" for stupid shit, and being the person who reports something which legitimately needs to be reported. If anything, the latter type of person commands more respect, since certain kinds of behavior are TRULY inappropriate for the workplace. Racism, bullying or extortion, stealing, comments about the size of a co-worker's penis or vagina....never, ever, alright. OP needs to take a stand here, and is within her rights to do so. Otherwise, the ham will think she's "won", and who needs that?

Jobs come and go, but wrecking a ham planet's life / career is forever. =)

Also, HR seems to always be full of fats.
