Usually to them "anorexia" means they tried to lose weight by not eating for a bit and "bulimia" means they threw up a few meals here and there and realized it's a bad idea. It's all self-diagnosed and they're talking about behaviors, not the serious mental disorders they actually are. People that have these things don't usually flaunt them and most certainly are not going to be obese. Hams just claim this to pretend they've gone to extreme lengths.

Most of the medical problems with bulimia aren't excessive weightloss, its things like tooth decay, acid burns on the throat, and stomach problems caused by frequent vomiting. The AspireAssist basically has the same effect without the throwing up, and is considered a safe treatment.
