I agree. I'm usually pretty good about checking labels when I 'm not either getting fresh food or something I buy consistenly, but occaisionally something sneaks up on me. Like apparently Tonic Water now has quite a bit of sugar. I found this out when I bought a bottle to drink while I was out on a run because the store was out of both lemon/lime and plain seltzer. I took one sip, realized it was too sweet, checked the label, and poured it out.

I dont get it. I watched "that Sugar Film" and started going through my pantry to make sure. I mostly buy fresh vegetables but crockpots are the shit and opening cans is easy. Every label must be checked now and never trust what it says on the front. Bunch of fucking lies.

So. I finally found you. The person who buys up every goddamned 12 pack of lemon/lime seltzer at my local Kroger. I only need 2! Two!

All kidding aside, I nearly had to throw an elbow at an old lady who was loading up her cart as fast as she could. No other local store carries anything but the 32 oz bottles. Which go flat the instant you pick up the bottle.

You do that too? I drink sparkling water instead of soda. No caffeine and no calories or sugahs.

Sorry no luck. I grab 1 liters for a buck at CVS when I'm out for a run. I do love me some lemon/lime seltzer and lime/rasberry.

I feel your pain though. Lately my local supermarket has been out of multi-packs of Goya Spanish rice whenever I go.
