Depression doesn't cause an appetite loss for everyone and does the opposite to many, but the argument is that increased appetite doesn't justify ham status. Also, managing diet and exercising are some of the best tools in fighting depression. Anyone serious about not being depressed some day should be taking an interest in their physical health.

Its more like, you dont have any buddies, nobody gives a fuck about you and everything seems pointless, so its easy to sit around all the time being a fat shit.

Getting your heart rate up excites you and that helps. It does change your mood, and if youre getting like mood swings or something, you can run from those- put all your anxiety and bullshit energy into just aimlessly running.
