no guys and girls - this kind of study is utterly vital. in science the first step is always confirming what you suspect - otherwise you might be acting on false belief (it happens - just not in this case). this will hopefully be the start of a process of social awakening regarding this extremely important issue. as a society we should never, ever normalise or in any way promote or profit from encouraging people to reach weights outside the BMI. it should be illegal.
also, now there is real evidence that using models outside the BMI is directly harmful to health. when a fattie starts up with their usual HAES shit, we can now point them to this and tell them to shut their fat, stupid fucking mouth.
