This analysis confirms that habitual energy expenditure is substantially and progressively raised in obesity. It contradicts the claim, based on self-reported food intake, that obesity develops and is maintained in spite of very low levels of energy intake. The analysis suggests that, except in massive obesity, patterns of physical activity are quite similar at different levels of BMI. This does not exclude the possibility that an inactive lifestyle may be an important general risk factor for the development of obesity.

BAM! There you go lurkers, just proof that your "I eat 800 cals a day and still gain weight, its muh slow metabolism and condishunz that make me fat." mantra is bullshit. Everyone has known this, however now here is yet another study calling out your bullshit. You eat wayyy too much, move wayyy too little, and have a higher metabolism than thin people because of all your excess adipose. Literally cutting your disgusting diet in half and not moving will cause you to lose weight, and somehow you asshats still manage to fuck that one up.

Oh, sorry, what was that???. Thought so. Shut the fuck up. Go back and cry to Tumblr some more.
