The phrase "nice guy" is pejorative. If a woman considers you one, it's not a compliment. She's admitted that there's zero magnetic attraction and has no interest in ever dating you. She'll use you as a support when there's nothing more interesting in her life, but you'll never be taken seriously as a romantic partner. Somehow you fucked up and exude a quality of being a simp and a wimp.

Be kind, be respectful. But always hold your ground and stand up for yourself. Be firm in the face of adversity. Be dominant without being domineering. But never, ever be nice.

It took me a while to learn this.

You can be nice, there isn't a problem with it. But you also need to be a bit dominant. That makes the difference between supplicating ("please like me") and being a good person who is good to be with.
