I'm sorry but if I can't tell that you're even pregnant because of your flab (even when it's explicitly stated that you're almost ready to give birth!) then you shouldn't be having children.
If you can't look after yourself then you shouldn't be allowed to be entirely responsible for the life of another!
I might sound like I'm being a bitch but I say this as a severely disabled woman than has a 50/50 chance of passing on my disorder each time I have a child.
I've never really wanted children anyway but discovering that my problems are genetic just cemented it for me. I need 24 hour care to live and I suffer extreme pain every day. I would not risk inflicting this on another human (or creating another burden on the healthcare system such as myself!)
My husband had a vasectomy to ensure that we don't have any children (luckily he never wanted them either which made the decision much easier!)
If you can't take care of yourself (and I mean really take care of yourself, including your weight!) then you're not fit to be a parent! Fuck body positivity, how about being healthy and making sure your kids are too? If she's starting at this size then what the fuck will her child end up like!?
She deserves the abuse she got because she's been abusing that poor child from the moment it was conceived!

It's not okay to smoke when pregnant, it's a risk to the baby.
It's not okay to drink when pregnant, it's a risk to the baby.
It's okay to be obese when pregnant, it's a risk to the baby.
Way to go, society.

I wonder if she felt like she was "finally beautiful" because pregnancy is the one time where human sized women can acceptably not see their feet because if their stomach... But she doesn't get that she's not an exception, since that's her condishuns, minus pregnancy anyway. Deluded cow.

Oh, I think you are spot on. Finally an acceptable excuse to have her stomach jut out by a foot or two. Too bad that has nothing to do with baby.
This is a horribly selfish hamhog

Pretty sure healthy pregnant women can see their feet.

Fuck everything about this. You are not brave, you are criminally negligent. Your inability to control your eating is directly bringing harm to a helpless child. Last time I checked my list of "world's most awful people", those who intentionally harm children are pretty close to the top.

Yeah why does ignoring the source of your self inflicted shame get referred to as bravery?
If someone craps their pants, should society encourage them to be brave and show everyone their ruined trousers?

Do you think the stretch marks came from the massive amounts of food or the overweight fetus in her gut?
[–] Lilina 0 points 4 points 4 points (+4|-0) ago
Food, the fetus only made them get bigger and angrier.

Lol it's the same age as me. I thought she was about 35 at the youngest! I get mistaken for 21 all the time.

Do obese mothers give birth to obese babies? I'm serious. Do the babies accumulate fat along with the mother while in the womb? Does this increase the chances of the child having diabetes?
[–] Boombaby5000 [S] 0 points 6 points 6 points (+6|-0) ago
Yes, they do. There are a correlation between the mothers eating habits and damages to the fetus, especially when it is a lot of fat and little micronutrients and vitamines. The risk of diabetes, heart disease, fatty liver and enlarged heart are also increased in babies born from obese mothers.
This is why the whole #mybodyisNOTbroken debacle infuriates me to no end. Just because you MIGHT be capable of getting pregnant doesn't mean you should, especially when you have a body so unhealthy it will damage you child from the moment of conception. Why the fuck are these white, middle class sows so incredibly selfish and irresponsible?
[–] Lilina 0 points 3 points 3 points (+3|-0) ago
Because they're sows... Pigs have no responsibility either.
[–] Donutday 0 points 2 points 2 points (+2|-0) ago (edited ago)
They sure do. Being overweight and eating poorly while pregnant is a contributing factor to gestational diabetes. Even nondiabetic mothers who overeat are at risk of having a gigantic fucking baby that can't be born vaginally and now has to be delivered by cesarean, which happens to also up a kids lifetime obesity risk and chance of developing asthma and allergies (which are also risks for fat kids in general.)
It's selfish and dangerous.
The food you eat actually flavors your amniotic fluid, and there is lots of research linking prenatal nutrition and childhood health and it's astonishing.

An obeast mom also puts the baby at risk for shoulder dystocia, which is a real emergency. The baby's head delivers through the birth canal, but the shoulders are too big to pass through. Sometimes the doctors will have to break the baby's collarbone in an attempt to save it.

Oh, shit. Here it is https://archive.is/z6LMo Thank you for reminding me

I hated seeing these. You're deluding yourself if you think you look good at that size. If no one can tell that you're pregnant, you don't look good. Plus, I don't like seeing pregnant women in their underwear in the first place. Being fat makes it 10 times more assaulting.
