What kind of moronic judgement is that?
I'm a powerchair user, I cannot so much as stand, even with help, but I'm perfectly capable of moving my legs! Not everyone on wheels is paralysed!
In fact, a larger proportion of people in chairs are not paralysed than are. Where does this "you moved your leg, you must be faking" shit come from?
Why don't people realise that there a thousands of diseases and disorders that affect mobility without affecting the ability to feel and move your legs?
Being able to move doesn't mean you can automatically walk.
Sorry for the rant but it pisses me off that people assume I'm faking. Like, really? Do you honestly think I would CHOOSE to use a powerchair?

Thank you for your apology, it means a lot.
I didn't mean to be a bitch but as I've posted on here before, I literally had a bunch of guys try and shove my powerchair into traffic because they assumed I was faking!
I shouldn't have people trying to kill me because I dared to move my legs while sat in a wheelchair.
Being able to move doesn't mean being able to walk. Paralysis is only one tiny reason that people need a wheelchair.
A lot of disabled people are able to stand or even walk short distances. They use a wheelchair because they're incapable of walking long distances.
They don't dare stand or walk in public though because so many people instantly assume they're faking!
Nobody in their right mind would choose to be stuck in a wheelchair so if you see somebody using one that is able to move their legs, stand or even walk short distances, then you should just accept it.
They're using that chair for a good reason!! If they could walk around the way a normal person does then they absolutely would!
Plus wheelchairs are expensive... Especially powered ones like mine. I can't imagine how anyone would want to waste so much money on wheels unless they really needed them!!
