Interesting. So if I put razor wire on top of my fence, is my intention to cause bodily harm to trespassers readily apparent as well? I know the legal system is kind of up its own ass these days. I've heard of people committing crimes and trying to sue the victim over silly things.

The razor wire example doesn't work, because someone intending to trespass will see it and know that they'll hurt themselves doing so. The poisoned food would be more like if someone is cutting through your backyard even though you asked them not to, so you lay down a landmine. Of course they shouldn't be trespassing, but that doesn't give you carte blanche to inflict bodily harm on them when they do.

Ok, let's see. What if we just honestly and plainly label a batch of brownies with "Warning: Laxative brownies"? I bet the ham would think it was a trick and eat them anyway. How do you think the dust would settle then? There's got to be a way to get away with this...
