I moved state last year, and my cats came with me. Once I settled them into our new place, they all went to the new vet one-by-one, as they needed it. At my previous house, there was a huge garden and lots of other houses with gardens, so they would run around all day. New place has less outdoor space and is much colder, so they sit around a lot more. A year later, I took one of them to the vet to get his teeth removed (all my cats are rescues- he needed them out for a year but I couldn't afford the $2000), and was told he had put on a kilo! Cats are all on diets now, and I'm forcing them out of the house for a few hours every day and playing with them more.

I've never thought of this, but with 4 cats and lots of food bullying going on (I have to stand guard!), I'm not sure it would work.
