They do, and it's so cringe-inducing. It's also never said matter-of-factly, they always sound like they are either proud of it or seeking sympathy. What's even worse is the ones that say they've "got sugar-diabeetus" or just "got sugar." Unfortunately when type 2s spot my insulin pump they usually feel the need to start a conversation with me. My 85-year old shitlady type 2 grandmother pronounces it correctly at least.

yeah but seriously, like why share that? I don't care. Most type 2's could even manage it mostly by diet, I've even heard of it being reversed.
